The University of Alicante's Electoral Board has proclaimed the candidate Manuel J. Palomar Sanz as its new President, after counting the votes in the election for University President and checking the records submitted by the polling stations. Manuel Palomar has achieved a simple majority of the validly cast votes, after applying the weighting prescribed in Article 36 of the UA Electoral Regulations
